Do you want to unlink a bank account from Wero? No worries: it's quick and straightforward! Here's everything you need to know:
There are two methods to remove your bank accounts from Wero, depending on whether you access Wero through the Wero app or your banking app.
Method 1 — From the Wero app:
- Open the Wero app
- Go to the Accounts tab
- Select the account you want to remove by tapping (...)
- Tap the "-" next to the phone number or email address linked to the account you want to remove.
- Scroll down and tap Remove bank account
Pro Tip: If you want to delete
Wero completely,
go to Settings - Remove Wero. However, we recommend removing
your bank accounts first.
⚠️ Important to know
- If you remove all the bank accounts you have linked to Wero, you won’t be able to make or receive Wero payments.
- You can add your bank accounts back to Wero at any time.
- Any existing payment consents (such as subscriptions or merchant payments) are not automatically cancelled when you unlink a bank account. Be sure to cancel them directly with the merchant.
Method 2 — From your mobile banking app:
If you are using Wero from your bank's mobile app and you want to unlink that bank account from Wero, you will need to do so within your bank's mobile banking app. Contact your bank's support team if you need help.
