How do I move from Payconiq to Wero if I have a Luxembourgish bank account?

In Luxembourg, Payconiq is becoming Wero during summer 2026. The transition will happen one bank at a time. Your bank will let you know when it is time to download the Wero app and connect your bank account.

Before you start

Make sure your phone is compatible with the Wero app. You can check which devices support Wero before getting started.

How to set up Wero

  1. Check your bank is available in our bank selector. If your bank is listed, just scan the QR code to download the app and start the setup.

  2. Open the Wero app and follow the steps to set up your account. For more details, see How can I set up the Wero app?

Pro-tip: Some banks will ask you to sign into your account via your banking app, while others will ask you to use LuxTrust. If you have trouble signing in, please contact your bank.

What to expect after setting up

Your account will go through a routine review when you sign up to Wero. This is a standard step for all new personal and professional accounts. While the review is happening you may notice  your account is temporary restricted. Please note this review may take a little longer than expected as a large number of accounts will be going through the same process..

Keep in mind: The Payconiq app will remain available until 30 September 2026. After this date, you will no longer be able to use it.
